Greer is an unincorporated community in Apache County, Arizona, United States. It lies at an elevation of approximately 8,600 feet in the White Mountains of Arizona, and is surrounded by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Greer was founded around 1879 by Mormon settlers from Utah. The Greer post office has the ZIP code of 85927; the ZCTA for ZIP Code 85927 had a population of 177 at the 2000 census. Greer is located near the towns of Springerville and Eagar in Northeast Arizona, near the New Mexico border.
