Tooele is a city in Tooele County in the U.S. state of Utah. It is part of the Salt Lake City, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 22,502 at the 2000 census, and 30,120 as of the 2008 estimates. It is the county seat of Tooele County. The city is well known for Tooele Army Depot, privately-owned waste-disposal facilities west of Tooele Valley, and TOCDF, a government-owned chemical weapons incinerator south of Tooele Valley.
