Groveport is a village in Franklin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,865 at the 2000 census. Groveport was the hometown of John Solomon Rarey, a nineteenth century horse whisperer, and developer of the Rarey technique for rehabilitating horses. This method was the basis for the novel and motion picture The Horse Whisperer.
