The Village of Lynbrook's current mayor is Brian Curran. Lynbrook is part of New York's 4th congressional district, which is currently represented by Democrat Carolyn McCarthy. Lynbrook is also part of New York State Senate District 9, which is currently represented by Republican Dean Skelos. It's also part of the New York State 14th Assembly District, which is represented by Republican Robert Barra, who resides in Lynbrook.
