Goldsboro is a city in Wayne County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 37,597 at the 2008 census. It is the principal city of and is included in the Goldsboro, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. Founded in 1787, incorporated in 1847, it is the county seat of Wayne County.
